Brahmāstra Part One: Shiva (2022) is an ambitious attempt to launch India’s first original cinematic universe, the "Astraverse," blending modern superhero tropes with ancient Indian mythology. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film follows Shiva (Ranbir Kapoor), a DJ who discovers he has a mystical connection to fire and is the key to protecting the Brahmāstra—the most powerful weapon of the gods—from dark forces.
