The mystery begins when the gang stops at pet shop to restock their supply of Scooby Snacks. They find the store in disarray and meeting Wanda Sykes, who is there helping with pet adoptions. Wanda explains that a monster egg has hatched, and a creature has kidnapped the owner, Mr. Peebles.
The group discovers a letter from a "Professor Smythe" claiming the egg must be kept cold to prevent a monster from hatching. After a series of chases—and the appearance of —the gang unmasks the Fish Monster. The Reveal Culprit: Mr. Peebles himself.
He faked the egg and the monster attack to bankrupt his own store so he could replace it with a more profitable clothing shop.
